Have Wakefield actually won - am not in uk but followed results including the grudging bbc summary which start with under par Wigan ..

Spent 40 minutes listening to radio Leeds massive interview with ex female player Lisa mackintosh , which seems to go on and on , interviews with dewsbury coach interviews with opposition coach but 40 minutes after end of top v bottom amazing finally we get a mention of Willie poching - oh but no we don’t we’ve now gone to some random Aussie coach from Keith key

I listened to the whole game on Radio Leeds from my bedsheets in Country Australia… I thought it was quite good coverage

The coverage from radio leeds is always good

I think kirmond is trying to say is one of the Yorkshire based clubs just handed an inform Wigan a sound thrashing

And there was pretty much no talk of it after the match
No interview with Willie etc

We beat Wigan
That’s a big deal

I listened to the catch up commentary on radio Leeds last night. Mat Shaw was the commentator, 50% of commentary was none rugby related, very little description on leading up to the trys, completely different from actual watching the live game.

Stopped listening to Radio Leeds years ago. It used to be ok back in the days of Boydie, but even then the "Voice of West Yorkshire" didn't extend much beyond Headingley and Elland Road. A very patronising, sycophantic radio station with no edge at all.

Must be showing my age but it seems that there just aren’t the characters in the game anymore. John Boyd,, Bamfords best bet, Peter Fox & loads of others. The format needs changing as after 5pm you want interviews from around the grounds, the commentators describing the games they covered, even fan phone ins. More often than not these interviews for the last part of the show are painful, usually with someone who I’ve no idea who they are.

I turned off after about 40 mins so missed WP, two separate interviews with the England RL woman then some other random stuff so gave up in end

Shame it’s not available as a podcast
