Unexpectedly Wakefield can determine how things turn out. A few weeks back I'd have said two points for everyone who plays them (and that might still happen). But the appointment of Smith and showing some fight for the first time in a long time vs Catalans away means they could spoil someone's chances.
They play Hull twice and Warrington at home also. Got a funny feeling they'll pick up a win in one of the home games which will mess someone up. Then depends of whether HKR or Widnes can catch up. Widnes' home form was crucial so to lose to Hudds on Sunday with a man advantage for most of the game could be the end of their chances. So down to three of Hull, HKR and Warrington for me (Catalans should pick up the points at home to see them ok).
Looking at the fixtures I'll say whoever loses the Hull Derby misses out on top 8 and is in the middle with Widnes, Salford and Wakey.
