Cup QF v Catalans : Mon May 27, 2019 4:54 pm  

Given Catalans recent form, excellent pack, higher league placing, position as defending champions and their recent rinsing of us at the same ground a win looks a remote possibility. However we do seem to reserve our best performances for the cup and you never know in a one off game. I think we will go something like:

Your getting your excuses in early, think you've covered all bases except they've also stayed in England to reduce the fatigue factor, you better add that in.
Seriously why do you always write us off pre game, set up the ready made excuses but then defend us vehemently when we do lose?

I genuinely believe that squad is strong enough to beat Catalan.
I'm going for a Hull win and a performance to right the wrongs.

Don't make this about me please. I have articulated 5 contextual facts, offered our decent cup form up in mitigation and suggested a squad. You immediately and deliberately de-rail. I could counter that you are "going for a Hull win" to set us up for a failure and another stick to beat Radford with but I won't, that would be silly.

I hope we manage to at least compete this week after the tragic weekend. Small steps to improvement hopefully.

I'm not making it about you, nor would I intentionally ever do so. Maybe have a word with bicycle he included you.
I simply disagreed with your kidoligy.
I'm not setting Hull up for failure. Lose and play well, I'll be happy, win and play ugly I'll be very happy but another performance like Saturday and I'll be well vexed and question the team and Radford.
5 days to turn it around, this game will be a measure of the team and coach alike.
Have ticket, still going and yes genuinely positive about our chances.

We should be looking to win this at all costs as there is the obvious incentive of potentially landing either Halifax or Bradford in the semis.
We've generally bounced back well from previous hidings so I'm confident we will give a good account and optimistic of the win.
