Having said goodbye to Dull RLFC, I will probably be blasted for posting again. However all this talk about Hull players and the rubbish talked by Hall in his interview has prompted me to reinforce my point of view be it right or wrong.
How many Hull players are going on the team building exercise to Catterick?
How can set moves be worked on when different players are in the side nearly every week?
How can a part timer like Horne be as passionate about the club compared to the likes of Tony Fisher and John Sheridan for example?
How can this super deal with Hull work when already their injuries are piling up in their camp?
Yes you can argue the Dons went ten games unbeaten with the help of Hull players but where were those players when needed in the playoffs?
Despite a squad of 40 players at Hull Horne can't even say at this stage who the two loan players will be so why is this?
Turning away from the Hull fiasco,I don't recall seeing any information on the number of season tickets sold for 2019 or the crowd numbers for the three games so far,not even a figure for the Kyle Kesik testimonial that supporters I'm sure would have been interested in.
The way the club is being run is a joke and it's beyond me how you loyal supporters put up with the repetitive contemptuous treatment.
In 2013 when the club was taken over by Club Doncaster, the Dons were in the Championship and Hall said the merger would take the club to a higher level. What a false promise that was.
Finally and most importantly for me,in 1995 the Dons were nearly forced into a merger with Sheffield driven by Gary Hetherington. I was one of the many supporters who attended meetings and through hard work forced that loss of the club's identity to be overturned.
But now although of a different nature the same is happening again where it is no longer truly a Dons team and the precious identity of a team that has seen so many highs and lows is in danger of possibly once again being lost forever.
