Caught this on YouTube last evening, it is yet to appear elsewhere at the time of me scribing this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb-Dj_An1kU What i found fascinating was the explanation surrounding the access to the Executive area and the reason behind the payment for such access (done to death on here I appreciate) I was not aware that such a corporate requirement was part of the IMG findings during the whole new look into the future of the game sanctioned by the RFL. If this came out from the club then I must have missed it, and apologise in advance. Surely this message should have been made a lot more transparent to the fans at the time of the decision from the club to make an extra charge for access. The comms from the club IMO are still sadly lacking when it come to issues that arouse such feelings and I just feel that they could have headed off a lot of the negativity by better communication. The timing of this message from the CEO coincides with the season ticket deadline (no surprise) given that just short of 300 have been purchased. I particularly liked the mention for expanding the game within the Doncaster area and in picking out Rossington I have a slight bias. Spent many a good Saturday afternoon on the Welfare watching the Hornets and the journey of some of the players who went onto represent the Towns RL club, Mark Roach, Ian Fletcher, Darren Summerill to name just a few. Cracking days. |
