Re: Fans committee meeting : Wed Aug 12, 2015 10:06 pm
Here are my questions for the committee meeting:

1) We had the biggest ever playing budget this season. What went wrong?
2) Sponsorship money, RFL funding, and gate receipts will all be lower next year. Will Club Doncaster be investing money into the Dons, or will the rugby club have to be self-sufficient?
3) What are the club's ambitions for next season?
(a) Stabilise and finish mid-table
(b) Challenge for promotion
(c) Win the league
4) What will season tickets cost and how much will match day entry be?
5) Will season tickets be on sale at the last home game of the season?
6) What are the match day attendance targets for next season?
7) DR with Hull hasn't worked as well for us this season. How close are our ties with Hull now Paul Cooke has gone and how can we make DR work better next season? Leeds and Hunslet, for example, seem to have a much better working relationship than we have with Hull.
8) At the end of last season, we were told we had a plan to get the Dons into Super League and become full-time. Do we still have this ambition? If so, what is the time frame? What attendance levels would be needed in order to sustain a Super League team in Doncaster?
9) Do we presently need a second team to help develop our own players?
10) It's been an horrendous season for the club and fans alike. Some fans, like me, will be supporting the team next season regardless. I couldn't ever imagine Sundays without rugby and the Dons but many others might be on the verge of throwing in the towel. What can be done to stop fans quitting?

Edit 13th August: The committee meeting is just before our last home game. Questions 4 and 5 will probably have already been dealt with by then.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thank God I'm an atheist.

They may be able to answer that actually, since there are some right Jaffas running the Rovers. :x

Just noticed the committee meeting is going to be around 9th September. The last match is on Sunday 12th September. We'll probably already have details released by the club regarding match day prices for next season, season ticket costs, and info on whether season tickets will be available to buy at the final home game.

My original questions four and five will probably have already been dealt with before the committee meeting.

Baz,

Has a date been agreed for this Meeting?

I did e-mail about my availability ... If it's when I'm unavailable, I will let you have some questions.
