Well done today, you put up a good fight, and if it wasnt for you getting a man sent off then i think you may have won it! Maybe our fitness would have told in the end but who knows. Well done all the same, credit to the game.

Massive Massive well done to Batley today, I think you were the better team if I am honest, I honestly thought at halftime down the slope our big forwards would be too strong for you, how wrong I was, you matched us step for step and for long periods were the best team. I think if the guy who rightly got sent off had not of had a rush of blood and had stayed on then you would have won the game. Don't agree that we looked superior fitness wise cos you pushed us for the full 80 mins. Good Luck for the rest of your season and we have some work to do.

Superb performance. The scoreline did not do you justice. Golden point would probably have been fair. Shame your lad got sent off. From where I was which was pretty close it looked a bad one. You could tell from his reaction it wasn't malicious, but he got it badly wrong and was lucky not to have taken Larne's head off. If you had taken more of your chances in the first half I think the sending off wouldn't have made a difference. Then again we also bombed a few too. Still you did the Championship proud today.

What a fantastic display by the bulldogs, the first two tries were outstanding as was the defence, as a Huddersfield fan I can only say the best team lost on the day. well done.

Well played Batley - you were better than us and i felt that our fitness was the only difference between the sides......good luck for the season !!

Thaks a lot folks, never thought I`d be leaving yesterday`s game disappointed because we didn`t win. That`s what the cup should be about.

Was also nice to see the Giants fans give our players a standing ovation at full time.

How could we leave the ground without appreciating what the Batley players had just done !! was also nice to see our players stand ing to the side and applauding them off too.
