Noble and Matterson OFFICIALLY are Moaners : Wed Apr 01, 2009 7:43 pm
As a Giants fan i am used to having to take a lot of crap. Over the years we have had a poor record in Sl and have still got the worst losing margin in a SL game. the merger and issues of relegation have not helped.
Despite that the club have tried to build themselves up and it is finally paying off.
despite that some coaches have tried to criticise our recent success and tactics. As a fan of many years i have noticed that this season we are doing well what we have been taught by other teams particualrly Saints and Leeds.
recently Both Noble and Matterson have had a go about our tackling and PTB. The RLE was full of Wigan fans complaining about our tactics.
After watching Boots n All tonight we finally have evidence to show that the previously mentioned coaches are losing , whingers and complete W@nkers.
The Boots N All team have analysed our team in have come to the following conclusions.
Paul Cullen ' the Giants are doing nothing different to other teams they are just doing it better'
Phil Clarke @ the giants are just playing the way as other teams, no garpples no slowing down the play the ball, they did nothing different to Wigan'
Eddie, ' it seems the only coaches complaining are those who have lost to the Giants'
So there we have it in a nutshell. We now have a coach who knows how to get the best out of his players even despite their limitations ( take note Mr Noble), they remain focused and work hard all game and do not make excuses ( take note Mr Matterson).
What both of the above coaches have in common is an inabilty to be gracious in defeat and to give their opponents some credit.
I would have posted on the Wigan forum but any posts critical of them seem to get locked.
I have no doubt that we will not be able to keep our current success all season BUT we are heading in the right direction in every criteria that needs to be judged. Taking well over 500 tickets for the Quins game away this season, over a 1000 at Bradford for our first league win for 40 years, over 5500 season tickets sold and heading to a 9000 average crowd this season.
Win lose or draw the Giants are here to stay, to grow and bring success back to the home of RL......
