All my optimism will go out of the window if Richard Marshall is given the job , he couldn’t coach my Scottish terriers to sit up , getting him will be a step backwards .

Col , I agree I’m no Mr Rigby ,or even Harry Stottle, but I agree I to hope Harold is well , his absence from the Forum has been noticed .

Don't understand the agenda against Marshall, to be honest. Did a good job at Halifax over 5 seasons there, playing a good brand of rugby. Holbrook obviously thought a lot of him to get him as assistant. Woolf then kept him on there. Didn't go great at Salford, granted, but that was a poor squad and it was always going to be difficult to follow Watson.

Ward, on the other hand, seems to have been built up as a messiah on the basis of winning promotion through the middle 8's, then giving a decent crack in Super League. This was then followed by an underwhelming performance in the championship. If that's what we're going for, may as well give Jukes the gig again...

Maybe I'm missing something, but Marshall seems like our best bet. Interested to see why people are against it..

Leyther , I know a few fans personally , and they wouldn’t have him back for anything , most could be an understudy at Saints , if no Danny Ward , we need to look elsewhere , and not go for a guy on the cheap.
